Current Projects

Currently working on a few separate animation projects, testing and pushing my animation skills and creative ideas (few quick
clips below, using Premiere/Soundbooth/After-Effects)
Pushing animation further, have started to explore 3D Studio Max, and my online capabilities with Dreamweaver. I am always looking to push myself and learn new skills and opportunities.

Zoe Mode

I have spent the last 4 months working at Zoe Mode London, working as a junior video editor, creating video montages and animations for Disney's latest Singit game.
Working to strict, demanding mile stone deadlines, requires a passion to learn new skills and ways of team-working from the word go, taking on board feedback and constantly changing requirements. Working under pressure and putting in the extra hours to ensure pieces are finished on time.
Producing accurate, detailed work to a very high demanding standard, using various software from Photoshop to Final Cut and After-Effects. I was altering individual frames using intricate layers and masks to hide various objects in moving sequences, and using my own confidence and ideas to construct narratives out of these films, in turn producing polished 3 minute music videos.

Graphic designs

A select few of my personal graphic design pieces that I have done through my own interests. A variety of my university work was based upon projection and collage work; some of these were early test and ideas using these processes. Created using hand made collage and tweaked and altered in Photoshop.

Jkaad design

2 Week placement spent at a small design company, Jkaad design, whilst undertaking my degree. I produced large scale, detailed and complex Photoshop textures, props and backgrounds for a music promo, that were then filmed, and animated in After-effects (see above, below final promo).

Agile-film

A second 2 week placement, spent following the artistic and editing team at Agile-films, London. I helped with office duties and errands in return for learning new skills and aiding shoots and tasks on location, watching over and picking up tips and techniques from the professional editors they had on board. I also had the chance to assist the art department on various commercials, putting myself up for every task and taking initiative to ensure all the loose ends were tied up so that every ran smoothly and efficiently. (below, shots from commercial set-ups).

B.T. Commercial

Couples of days spent down in Newhaven, East Sussex, working as an art dept. assistant on one episode of the running series of B.T. commercials. I helped set up rooms, lay out sets, and construct props to match the previous commercials. Throughout the shoot I was taking on board the techniques and equipment used by staff and how they used their experience and knowledge to create the desired atmosphere and visual.

Caravanfilm

I spent 3 months of a summer at Caravanfilm, an independent film company based in Hackney. They were producing a 3d short, animated film based on the directors experiences, captured within a Pakistani prison. My role was to produce storyboards and concept designs both hand drawn and digital that could then be modeled digitally and animated. I had a large impact on the look and feel of the short, giving my ideas and cultivating a solid idea with the other directors, a pilot was created to achieve funding for the project.

Degree Show

Few early sketch book samples through to concepts and the full installation. Final filmed footage was created by capturing projected collages from overhead projectors, that were thrown onto 3d sculptures that demonstrated visual symbols and meanings.

Degree Projects

A few short projects from the final year of my degree, based upon the themes within E.A.Poe's poem 'the raven', as well as the themes of the femme fatale featured within film theory. Majority of images crafted into collages, and projected onto varying surfaces to add depth and texture to the flat paper image.
